Lions' men's lacrosse win MLC Semifinal game over Aurora University, 20-11

MLC Player of the Year Anderson Morgan (Mason, OH/Moeller) had four goals, and teammate Chris Uselmann (Carmel, IN/Westfield) added five goals, as the College of Mount St. Joseph defeated Aurora University, 20-11, in the semfinals of the Midwest Lacrosse Conference tournament. The Lions will take on host Adrian College on May 8 in the Championship game in Adrian, MI.

The Mount jumped out strong offensively against Aurora, recording nine goals in the first half and racing out to a 12-4 advantage at the half. The Lions scored the last seven goals of the first quarter and the final three goal in the second quarter, with Uselmann leading the way with three first half scores.

Will McClanahan (Cincinnati, OH/Madeira) scored a goal with just over four minutes to play in the third quarter to give the Lions their biggest lead of the game, 17-7. Aurora would cut the deficit to 17-10 but would get no closer as Ryan Gallagher (Chicago, IL/St. Rita) ended the game's scoring with 4:22 to play in the game. Colin McSharar (Indianapolis, IN/Bishop Chatard) stopped 12 shot to register the win for the Mount. Uselmann had seven points in the game while Morgan added six points.
