Mount men's soccer suffers 4-1 road setback to Kenyon College

Mount junior midfielder Jake Nelson (Batavia, OH/Batavia) got the Lions on the scoreboard first today at Kenyon College, but the Mount could not add to that score as they fell by a 4-1 score. The Lions, 0-1-1 overall this season resume play on Sept. 7 when they play against host Wilmington College in the Wilmington College Classic Tournament.

Nelson tallied the team's first goal of the season, and the game, in the game's fourth minute today. Kenyon knotted the score at one-all at the 27-minute mark and then went ahead, 2-1 when they scored at 31:42 of the first half. They would add two, second half goals just over one minute and a half apart, en route to the victory, evening their 2012 mark at 1-1.

Kenyon out-shot the Lions, 25-8 in the game, including 9-3 in shots on goal. Kenyon also held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.
