Lions' baseball team suffers 11-4 setback to Baldwin Wallace University

The College of Mount St. Joseph dropped its second game of the young season to Baldwin Wallace University on Friday afternooon, 11-4, dropping the Lions season mark to 3-6 overall. The Mount will return to action in Florida on March 16, when they take on Ohio Wesleyan University in doubleheader action, finishing play on Spring Break. The Lions won 5-0 over Ohio Wesleyan on March 12.

In today's game, the Mount's Brandon Polking (Cincinnati, OH/St. Xavier) tossed seven innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs. Taylor Simpson (Monroe, OH/Monroe) helped lead the offense with two hits, including a double while teammate Jonathan Roberts (Hebron, KY/Conner) was two-for-four with a run scored. Rob Shaw (West Chester, OH/Lakota West) had two hits and a walk. Baldwin Wallace went to 9-2 with the win.
