Mount women's lacrosse team posts 11-4 win at Benedictine University

The College of Mount St. Joseph women's lacrosse team ended 2013 play on Saturday afternoon with an 11-4 win at Benedictine University. The Lions improved to 7-6 overall, 4-4 in the MWLC. The seven wins this season are a program-best, eclipsing last season's mark of five.

The Mount bolted out to a 6-0 lead today, as they got goals from five different players and saw Chrissy O'Hara (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy) score twice in the game's first half. The Mount held a 6-1 lead at the intermission, as Benedictine could get no closer than to within four goals twice, the last at 7-3 with 20:17 to play in the game. Faith Koehne (Cincinnati, OH/Sycamore) and teammate Jessica Hrabosky (Frederick, MD/Urbana) added second half scores for the Mount. Hrabosky's goal was her first of the season.

O'Hara finished with four goals and three assists, while Erica Walsh (Louisville, KY/Sacred Heart) scored twice. Sarah Moderbacher (Ross, OH/Ross) had two assists. Mount goalie Paige Apel (Cincinnati, OH/Seton) had eight saves for the win.
