Top-seeded Aurora University bolted out to a 9-0 lead the half, and rolled to a 25-7 over the Lions in the seminfinals of the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament. The Mount ends the 2013 season with a 10-8 record, and were the number four seed in the tournament. Aurora moves on to play second seeded Carthage College for the tournament title.
Aurora would lead by a 14-0 score before the Lions would net their first goal of the game - Will McClanahan (Cincinnati, OH/Madeira) scoring an unassisted goal with 7:11 showing on the second quarter clock. The home team would hold a 16-1 lead at the intermision, thanks in part to out-shooting the Lions, 30-2 in the first half, including 23-2 in shots on goal. The Lions would add three goals in each of the final two quarters, with McClanahan leading the way in the game, tallying four goals.
The Lions fell by a 17-3 score earlier in the year to Aurora.
