Host Asbury University scored their first goal within the game's first six minutes, and added another first half goal, holding a 2-0 lead at the half, en route to a 5-0 shutout against the Mount on Friday night. The Lions, 1-7 on the season, return to action on Sept. 21 when they host Wittenberg University.
The Eagles out-shot the Mount, 20-13 in the game, and held a 12-2 advantage in shots on goal, as the evened their 2013 record at 3-3. The teams had seven corner kicks each. The Lions' suffered their fourth shutout of the season.
