The men’s soccer team traveled to Buffalo, N.Y. where it defeated D'Youville College by a score of 4-0, improving its record to a perfect 3-0. D'Youville drops to 0-4 on the year. The Lions play at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Buffalo against Medaille College.
Teddy Kerr (Cleves, OH/St. Xavier) started the Lions off with a quick goal in the first half. DeWitt Cook (Cincinnati, OH) had the assist. The Lions went into halftime of the game with a narrow 1-0 lead.
The Lions found its offense in the second half, netting three goals. Zach Kuebler (Hilliard, OH/Hilliard Darby) scored the first goal of the half with Cook also assisting it. Kerr scored the last goal of the game, finishing off D’Youville. The other goal scorer for the Lions was Trey Crone (Villa Hills, KY/Dixie Heights).
Colton Lipps (Cincinnati, OH/Northwest) ended the game with two shots and one assist on the day. The Lions went on to outshoot D’Youville 14-10 with both teams having four shots on goal. Every shot on target for the Lions scored.
The next home game for the Mount is at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Mount Sports Complex.
