THE BASICS
Mount St. Joseph fall to 2-6 on the season after a 8-7 defeat by Transylvania University (8-2, 2-0) in OT.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Transylvania Pioneers started out strong, scoring the first goal of the game within the first five minutes of play. At the 21:35 mark Courtney Gleason put the Lions on the board with an assist from Madie Long.
The Lions and the Pioneers kept going back and forth with scoring remaining tied at a 1:36 with a goal by Maria Sams.
In OT the Lions couldn't keep the defense in sync to allow the Pioneers to score the winning goal within the first two minutes.
The Lions had incredible offense and senior Erica Walsh ended the night with 5 goals.
