THE BASICS:
The Lions (16-10, 5-8) struck first with a run in the first inning, and couldn't find the plate for the rest of the game. It's the Lions' third straight loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions posted the first run in the opening inning on a fielder's choice and an error by Earlham (19-6, 9-4). It would prove to be the only run of the game for the Lions who had five hits in the game. Earlham only managed four hits, but plated four runs -- two by sacrifice fly, one by error, and one on a bases loaded hit-by-pitch.
STANDOUTS
Austin Richey took the loss but completed six innings, giving up only two earned runs with four walks and two strikeouts.
