WABASH, Indiana - The Mount St. Joseph University women's golf team headed to Wabash, Indiana to take part in the Manchester Invitational this weekend, and were absolutely dominant. They crushed the field en route to a 56 stroke victory over the second place team.
Patricia Windholtz led the way shooting a program record 36-hole score to take medalist honors. Windholtz played great on the first day shooting a 3-over par 75, but saved her best for day two shooting 1-under 71 on the second day, for a two day total of 146.Â
She was far from the only outstanding performer for Coach Gilmore's Lions on the weekend though as the Lions finished with the five best scores of the weekend.
Amy Smith finished second with a 12-over 156,
Alyssa Haverstraw finished in third with a 160,
Taylor Anderson finished in fourth with a 165 and Alyssa Perry finished tied for fifth with a 169,Â
The Lions will take to the course again next weekend in Meadville, Pennsylvania in the Kuhn Memorial Tournament hosted by Alleghany College as a part of what promises to be a stacked field!
