First, starting in the Heavyweight division Junior Rowan Tolbert got his 1st action of the new season. Tolbert got 2 byes to start his weekend before facing off against Demitrius Hernandez of Heidelberg. Tolbert showed poise in his 1st match of the year winning 8-3. In his 2nd match, Tolbert was barely knocked off in a sudden victory but his weekend wasn't over as Tolbert moved to the 3rd Place bracket. Following the defeat Tolbert responded nicely with a pin in just 47 seconds. But, again Tolbert would fall but would find himself wrestling for 7th Place. His 1st match in the 3rd Place bracket placed him against his own teammate Andrew Magness. The 2 Lions put on a show battling for a chance to stay alive. Zigo won the battle taking down Magness 1-0. Following his victory Zigo made quick work of Ohio Northern's Gabe Hansen winning 11-1. But, in the semifinal match Zigo would fall short placing him in the 5th Place match. He faced off against Adrian's Mack Baird. The pairing had grueling battle before Zigo pushed ahead with a sudden victory win 7-4. With that victory Zigo took home 5th Place in the 141lb weight class.
