LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Over the weekend your Mount St. Joseph University Women's Golf team competed at the Spalding Invitational. The Lions had a great weekend on the course despite the weather, claiming 1st Place at the Invitational.
Patricia Windholtz and
Amy Smith led the way for the Lions on the course. After Round 1 Windholtz led the field shooting a 80 while Smith was in 3rd with a 82. In Round 2 Windholtz slowed but still finished with a 85 tying her for 2nd Place. Smith also produced a solid Round 2 finishing with a 83 to tie Windholtz in 2nd Place both shooting a 165 for the weekend.
Emma Winland also had a nice weekend for the Lions finishing tied for 5th while shooting a 172.
Alyssa Haverstraw followed finishing in 7th Place while shooting a 175.
Aly Perry and
Taylor Anderson also looked solid for the Lions each finishing tied for 8th while shooting a 179.
UP NEXT: Your Mount St. Joseph Lions are back in action next weekend on April 22nd and 23rd as the Lions travel to Richomd, Ind. to compete at the Earlham Invitational.
