WILMINGTON, Ohio - The Mount St. Joseph wrestling team hit the road on Thursday, taking on the Wilmington Quakers. The Lions took six of the ten matches on their way to a 34-19 victory.
The Lions dropped the 125lb match by fall to put Wilmington ahead 6-0. They would even the team score at six with a fall win by senior
Jorden Zigo at 133lbs. Senior
Desmond Diggs who is currently ranked #19 in the country at 141lbs, also won by fall putting the Lions ahead 12-6.
Wilmington took the matches at 149 and 157, to go ahead 14-12. The Mount got back in the win column at 165 as
Dylan Deck won by tech fall, pushing the team score to 17-14. They would get a another pair of falls at 174 and 184 by
Brayden Kuhling and
Alec Hall respectively. Jermaine Pointer would finish off the scoring for the Mount, winning by first period tech fall at 197.
