ADA, Ohio - The Mount St. Joseph wrestling program took part in the ONU Invite, hosted by Ohio Northern University over the weekend. The Lions finished seventh in the event, with a trio of wrestlers placing in their weight classes. That group was headlined by
Addison Breeding who took home the award for most falls in the shortest amount of time in the event.
Leading the placers was a second place finish from
Xavier Woods at 149lbs, the freshman went 4-1 in the event with three wins coming by way of fall. Breeding finished third at 141 with a record of 5-1, with all five wins coming by way of fall.
David Maher finished eighth with a 2-3 record with one win coming by fall and another by tech fall.
In their next event the Lions will have to decide a dual lineup for the first time this season as they head to Heidelberg University to take part in the Berg' Duals on December 13th.
