CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Mount St. Joseph wrestling team hosted Manchester in the final home dual of the season on Thursday.
In a pre match ceremony we honored the 2025 MSJ wrestling senior class,
Dylan Deck, Jordan Zigo and
Desmond Diggs.
After dropping the first match of the dual, senior Jordan Zigo got the Lions on the board with a major decision at 133 lbs. With the win the dual score was 5-4 in favor of the Spartans.
The Lions took the lead at 141lbs with a 13-3 major decision by
Desmond Diggs. The win moved the dual score to 8-5 in favor of the Mount.
After dropping the middle weights, they would get another win a 197lbs.
Jermaine Poynter got the 12-11 decision, in a match that could have went either way into the final seconds.
The Mount also got the win at 285lbs as
Jahlil Davis got a huge win by fall at the 2:19 mark of the first period.
Manchester ended up winning the dual with an overall score of 26-17.
