Elyse Bauman Named Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach

Elyse Bauman Joins MSJ Women's Volleyball Staff

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Elyse Bauman will join Mount St. Joseph as the new assistant coach for the women's volleyball program as announced today by head coach John Spinney.

Coach Bauman brings a wealth of experience both as a player and as both an assistant and head coach to the Mount. Her most recent position was as an assistant coach with the women's volleyball program at Centre College. During her time at Centre coach Bauman collaborated with the staff to create practice and training plans, and assisted in the administration of practice and game strategy. She also helped to recruit some of the top talent in the region while helping the team to back-to-back SAA semi-final appearances.

Prior to her time at Centre she was an assistant at The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass., where she helped in a nationwide recruiting effort. She helped to create practice and training plans while helping administer practice and in match strategy. She was also helped to successfully analyze film and create scouting reports of opponents.

She was a head coach at two separate stops, for three years she was the head coach at Assumption University and also served as the head coach at Central Baptist College.

As a player coach Bauman was a star at Division II Pace University. Helping her teams reach the NCAA Tournament three times, while being name all-conference twice, D-II All-East Region twice and was an All-America selection in 2011.
