LATROBE, Pennsylvania – The Mount St. Joseph University men's volleyball team was defeated by Saint Vincent College on Saturday afternoon in Midwestern Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) action. The Lions competed throughout the match but ultimately fell in straight sets.
MATCH ONE: MSJ 0 - SAINT VINCENT 3 (9–25, 19–25, 16–25)
Saint Vincent set the tone early, jumping out to a quick lead in the opening set. The Lions responded with a stronger effort in the second set, showing improved offensive rhythm and extending several rallies before Saint Vincent closed out the frame. The Bearcats maintained control in the third set to secure the match.
Sophomore Carson Reed led the Lions offensively with nine kills, while sophomore Brayden Bass directed the attack with a team-high 23 assists. Defensively, sophomore Sean Murray anchored the back row, finishing with nine digs.
The Lions will look to bounce back quickly as they continue their games on the road.
